The gallery is beautifully engraved with scrolling motifs down the sides and shoulders and elevates three lustrous pearls and two cabochon turquoise, set in an alternating pattern on top. Turquoise is considered a stone of everlasting love and pearls a stone of loyalty. They were a popular combination in the Victorian era with their soft colours
