Picantal Mencia Prada Tope Palacio de Canedo - 2011 port winesA rather special, rich and intense Spanish red made from 100% organic Mercia grapes. If budget is no obstacle this is really quite a unique and interesting wine and well worth a punt. We loved it. Manual harvest, cluster by cluster and fermented with its natural yeasts. Raised in the presence of its fine lees by periodically suspending them (batonnage) for 14 months in French oak barrels. Tasting The terroir from which it comes is clearly expressed.
