Further along on the far side of the creek one and two storey houses made of coral are built close together in the Shindagha district

Their headdresses of animal fur and ostrich plumes are typical of the period

At the far right large bushes grow in a depression at the bottom of the dune

The monument was created during the reign of Sky Xul and marked the close of an era in the Maya calendar
