Magnum Editions: Man in Mist, Sydney, Australia, 2001 On SetTrent Parke was twenty years old when he arrived in Sydney from his hometown of Newcastle, New South Wales. Moving from country to big city, his immediate reaction was a sense of loneliness and isolation. Parke decided to channel his emotions into his photography which resulted in Dream Life, a five year project documenting the city in a very different way from the typical view of Australias most populated city. I wanted to present a truer version of
