The 3rd Continental Light Dragoons was a mounted regiment raised by the Continental Congress in New Jersey on 1777, also known as Baylors Horse or Lady Washingtons Horse due to the name of their successive commanders, Lt. Col. George Baylor and Lt. Col. William Washington. As was usual in this type of unit, their soldiers were trained in both Infantry and Cavalry
